Hunting Grounds 1.1.5 has been released.
We're excited to announce that Hunting Grounds 1.1.5 has been released! This version adds some new features:
Whats new:
- "Sat-Topo Hybrid" basemap now has higher resolution satellite imagery.
- A new Beta / Experimental "Sat-Topo" basemap has been added.
- New "Wayfinder" feature - using the "up arrow" icon at the top of a marker info menu, a new widget will appear on the screen showing you relative bearing, absolute bearing / direction, and distance to the marker in question.
- Password reset functionality has been added to the login screen.
- Hunting Grounds has a feature where it will test to see if there is network connectivity at startup, and if no connectivity is found, Hunting Grounds will then enter "offline mode" automatically. This feature can now be enabled to disabled (in the settings menu).
- There is now a feature that will allow Hunting Grounds to "remember" which data layers you have enabled, and it will then automatically load these next time the app starts up.
- Removed the "OpenTopo" basemap (due to performance issues with the OpenTopo map servers). We have replaced this with a similarly styled, but much better performing basemap.
- In the "search" mode, you can now directly input Latitude / Longitude to search for.
- You can now add a marker at a specified Latitude / Longitude (in the Map Tools menu).
- General MTE data update
- Increased TargetSDKVersion for android to 30 in line with Play Store requirements (the app is now targeted towards Android 11 / honeycomb).
- Since Regional and Melbourne Metro are now no longer "separated" as a result of COVID lockdowns, we have removed the metro Melbourne specific hunting areas dataset.
- Various performance and stability tweaks.
